WILD WOMEN WEAR RED!
4 WAYS TO WEAR RED THIS FALL
My friend used to own a boutique called Wild Women Wear Red. I love that name. And while this sounds accurate, it is no longer true.
Red is certainly the go-to color this Fall. It was all over the runways and now it's all over your stores.
Here are 6 ways (and bargains) to wear this color and brighten up your daily.
1 - WE OUT HERE
A red jacket or coat is a simple way to make a bold statement OR just add some color. I saw this Tod's moto jacket in Vogue magazine while getting a mani and did a double-take...
I love that this one is 3/4 length and covers your butt bc typical biker-style jacket is shorter. At $3700, this is an investment. It's a classic silhouette that will never go out of style.
Without fail, Zara has given us options that serve the same function with less of the financial commitment. As moto jackets are still in the spotlight, this one is in faux leather and won't break the bank.
We also gagged over this Shaci heavyweight faux fur coat at Forever 21! This is the perfect car coat to throw and go. You can also layer it on those blustery winter mornings with a cream sweater or turtleneck.
2- GET ON YOUR FEET
Red shoes have always been eye-catching and we have so many options to chose from...
This slouchy suede boot by NineWest goes great with skirts and denim and pants and, of course, leggings.
We particularly are digging these Blood & Honey mink shoes. These are striking and you can wear them to elevate your wool pencil skirt or velvet holiday bress. Add a pair of opaque or ribbed tights and you've taken your acessory game up a notch as well as your look!
These patent leather beauties were released while we slept on the beach. Zara premiered a pre-fall collection in late July and in a blink of an eye, these babies were gone. You can still cop a pair if you have a small foot or check Ebay or Poshmark. I'm still watching my feed to make these happen!
3- ON YOUR LIP
I have re-committed to the red lip thanks to Essentials by Edwina lipstick!
I always loved a red lip but hadn't found one that moved me in quite some time. I used to wear Revlon Fire & Ice in college. Religiously. It was just enough red with a touch of orange to make my lips GLOW! I don't know if they still make that color and I have since graduated from Revlon lip colors and invest in higher end products (mainly bc they are generally less toxic and typically use higher quality ingredients).
So when I found Essentials By Edwina's LALA red lip color, I was ECSTATIC. I have been wearing it EVERY DAY and must admit, it makes me feel powerful yet sexy, strong yet feminine. I know, I'm putting a lot of power into a tube of lip color but it really does. And sometimes it the little things! I also have gotten multiple compliments from strangers and friends! And if that's not enough, it has also been the #1 seller thus far on my White Noise TV livestream shopping show.
All of the lippies in this 3-color collection are bomb but I'm focusing on red bc we are talkign about red. Check out a separate blog post about the other colors that have me equally as excited...yes, hard to believe but true. Bible.
4- LACQUER UP
We all know nails are my thing and one of my all-time fave accessories. Your nails are certainly an accessory and definitely a way to add color to your daily. For that ruby red, I rely on OPI's The Thrill of Brazil. It has enough pop to brighten up the dreary fall and winter daze and make my sun-deprived hands look healthy. This lacquer also last's a long time and will werk perfect with your LALA lip color! Thank me later.
Each of these hot red options are all ways to WOW your new and existing wardrobe by adding Fall's IT color. I am working diligently to add more color to my life on the regular and I am taking my advice on all of the above!
And you don't have to be WILDto do it..............but you COULD be!
