VETEMENTS

Vetements - the French apparel brand found in 2009 by designer #DemnaGvasalia - collaborated with @saksfifthavenue. In an ode to overconsumption in fashion, Vetements turned a pile of  clothing donations from S5A employees, out-of-stock merch, hangers, shoes and street signs into an art installation that resembles my laundry ritual.

At the end of the exhibit, the clothes will be donated to RewearABLE- a clothing recycling program that helps adults with developmental disabilities. Vetements has become known for their radical rage against the fashion system. Continuing in the vein, they will not be showing their new collections within the “classical system” anymore. That said, we are  eager to see what they will do next!
