FLORIANE EZNACK SIPS CHAMPAGNE WHEN SHE'S THIRSTY

On October 23, I was invited to a private dinner in NYC with Floriane Eznack - winemaker extraordinaire -to discover this best kept secret.

Champagne Jacquart is the official champagne sponsor of the renown Diner En Blanc and is the industry’s “most food friendly wine”.

Jacquart is considered a “young” champagne by traditional champagne aging standards. Eznack says it’s crisp, light texture is the right champagne for a “pause”—that moment in the early evening when you take your pause. And we ALL know “that” pause from 6-7 pm when the day is officially winding down and your night time responsibilities or shenanigans are about to begin.

Floriane has been Jacquart’s Cellar Master since 2011 and prior to that was the assistant winemaker at Veuve Clicquot. She works with 1800 grape growers in 60 villages and pays extreme attention to details such as blending and daily taste testing.
