Aminah Abdul Jillil is a luxury shoe brand from the creator of the same name. Born in Anchorage, Alaska, Jillil  was a professional dancer working with some of the biggest names in music like Janet Jackson and Brittney Spears.

In 2012, Aminah launched her sexy shoe brand. You may have seen her signature shoe on the ‘gram recognizable by its towering heel and enormous bow. This shoe has captured the attention -and sales- of many a shoe addict. They come in every primary color, in 3 different heel heights, and in  kids.

The secret to her brand is offering a variety of colors with limited heel heights while staying faithful to the peeped toe, ankle strap style. Always a statement, they are adorned with chunky gold chains, rhinestones, and glitter. All elements that I adore!

Last year, Jillil did a 3 drop collaboration with Macy’s that sold out introducing her brand to the mass market category. As a luxury brand, the $485 price point may be aspirational for some. At Macy’s, her shoes ranged from $45-$85.

I have several pair of her shoes and they always inspire a complement or recognition.

“Are those Aminah Jillil? I loooove her shoes!” are ofttimes heard.

In Arabic, Aminah means honest and faithful. Honestly,  anytime you wear the  Skyscraping Soleil’s or their sister ballet flat, you are instantly elevated.
